Overall: The common mistake I've seen with deciding the best platform for managing health and safety is when only thinking about frontline use and not considering the administration at the 'back-end' SiteConnect does it very well for frontline use and back-end, administration use, managing the system. Pros: Getting rid of the amount of paperwork and managing issues easily from the office desktop, providing support to site managers and contractors. Cons: Works best when all workers have a smartphone. Some workers do not have a smartphone or don't like using their smartphone for employers. The product just needs to make sure it keeps up with industry innovations and expected standards and ease of use. Pros: The ability to record and track different H/S breaches, their frequency, who is reporting them, identify areas needing improvement or training. I also like the scoring for Pre-Qualification documents for our contractors Cons: Some PDF reports will change the orientation of a photo to how it was taken by the staff member who reported it. Pros: I have just finished a NZQA course on being a healthy and safety representative And SiteConnect ticked all the boxes. Workers are keen to be involved in promoting health and safety for once . I like the online aspect of SiteConnect my reading and writing is poor . Being able to use speak to type and screen reader is brilliant. Cons: I guess it’s getting management up to speed.
